Challenging is ideal for individuals previously licensed as nurse aides or who already have a background in providing unlicensed personal care and/or basic medical skills in assisted living facilities, group homes, private homes, or other similar situations.
for scheduled CNA Exam "challenge" date(S).
2. PAY HERE: MT EXAM CHALLENGE
(incl O.L Pay Fee)
Note: Sign-up for any on-site lab practice includes a free written practice exam (with instructor consultation) prior to on-site lab practice to help determine readiness for the written exam. This gives the student the opportunity to opt for more theory study prior to lab/testing, if necessary. Anyone who has completed ANY Heart and Hands Training instructor-supervised on-site lab skills practice, in addition to any theory study, has passed the MT state exam.  Taking the state exam alone, without any instructor-guided preparation at all (especially for skills), is extremely risky. Challenging requires the most highly-motivated, self-directed, and/or experienced learners. The effort a student puts into training largely determines the degree of success.

3.  CNA EXAM SIGN-UP, needs to be completed, also, if you plan to take the state exam.

THIS VERSION IS THE "CHALLENGE" VERSION BECAUSE IT IS TESTING ONLY OR INCLUDES  LIMITED TIME AND/OR ONLY PART OF THE CLASS.
For MT that means:
*1 chance to pass the entire MT CNA Exam, and failing ANY portion, would necessitate COMPLETION OF ENTIRE MT-DPHHS approved NURSE AIDE TRAINING.
Not all states allow "challenging," and/or allow it only under certain circumstances. The nurse aide registry for the state in question should be consulted for ALL details of CNA testing, incl. the list of required skills. I do have SKILL links, but the individual state's CNA Handbook skills info is the ultimate guide for passing that state's skills.

I DO NOT recommend "challenging" the MT state exam without any on-site lab skills practice. If you choose NOT to complete any on-site skills lab, you may want this
SKILLS VIDEO. (does not include all MT skills)

Another skills video: I have not viewed this one, but in general I have found any of these type videos made by instructors to be helpful. Just remember the STATE SKILLS HANDBOOK is the ultimate guide for what skills are covered and the details of those skills.
